Retro period - The Retro costume jewelry period happened between 1935 and 1950. During this time the styles of jewelry were influenced by the previous Art Deco styles, but new and different. Colored gemstones and bow and flower shapes were popular.

Estate jewelry - Estate jewelry falls into two periods: antique jewelry and vintage jewelry. Estate jewelry doesn’t necessarily have to come from an estate sale, but rather the term refers to jewelry that has been previously owned.
